Maiden Braids & Messy Bun

So I recently have begun to try out new hairstyles. I drug Maddi over to my house and messed with her awesome, strawberry-blonde hair for hours.

Instructions

This hairstyle can be used at a formal event, work, or being out-and-about. This was inspired by another blog, and I took my own photos.

1. Make 4 braids and wrap them around the hairline. Try to begin the braids near the hairline, so that the part lines are hidden by the wrapping.
2. Pin the braids. Bobby pins, or classic hairpins work fine.
3. Gather the rest of the hair into a loose ponytail, don't pull the hair all the way through the ponytail--this will help to keep the hair secure and prevent fly-aways.
4. Pin the hair into a loose messy bun. Aim high on the rear of your head. You can leave some ends down and loose at different lengths down the neck for a more carefree, young look.

You may want to begin with the ends, or all of your hair curled, for more volume.
